We know how important family and friends are for our mental and social wellbeing. As such we are keen to help residents to maintain contact with their loved ones as much as possible.
We provide residents with plenty of areas in which to entertain, and they are always free to spend time in their own rooms. Unlike some other care facilities we do not have visiting time as such, we only ask that you take into account your loved one’s routine when visiting. In other words, visits late at night if your family member is known for having early nights probably isn’t the best idea! Visitors are welcome at all reasonable times.
If a residents’ visitor wishes to stay for a meal this is ok (although there may be a small charge), and their visitors are welcome to tea, coffee and biscuits. If you want to take a friend out for the day this is also ok, please let a member of staff know since we’d only worry if we couldn’t find someone.
We are easily accessible, 10 minutes drive from the M67, about 15 minutes from the center of Stockport. See the map to picture where we are. We also are easy to get to on the bus, the 330 comes very close along the main road. We are also a 10 minute walk from Hyde Central train station, with regular trains to and from Manchester Picadilly. Taxis are another option, just ask them to take you to Charnley House, Albert Road, Hyde and you’ll get here.
